Overview

The King Fahd Cultural Center (KFCC) is one of Riyadh's most iconic landmarks, playing a pivotal role in Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape. The center regularly hosts a variety of cultural, literary, and theatrical events, including art exhibitions, lectures, musical performances, and film screenings. Our project aimed to modernize the KFCC's digital presence, making it more accessible and interactive for visitors and cultural enthusiasts.

Key Features

• **Dynamic Event Listings: Implemented a real-time event management system that allows users to browse, filter, and book tickets for upcoming performances and exhibitions.
• **Interactive Virtual Tours: Developed an immersive virtual tour feature, enabling visitors to explore the center’s theaters, galleries, and exhibition halls from anywhere.
• **Multilingual Support: Ensured accessibility by integrating Arabic and English support throughout the platform, catering to a diverse audience.
• **Media Gallery: Created an extensive media archive showcasing past events through high-quality images and videos.
• **Community Engagement: Developed a section dedicated to writers, intellectuals, and students, allowing them to contribute articles, participate in discussions, and access exclusive content.

Technologies Used

• Revit: Utilized for 3D modeling and architectural visualization, enhancing the virtual tour experience.
• 3D Visualization Tools: Used for developing interactive virtual tours of the center.

• Multilingual Framework: Integrated to provide smooth switching between Arabic and English.

Challenges and Learnings

One of the main challenges was ensuring a seamless bilingual experience, as the platform needed to support both Arabic and English while maintaining design consistency. Additionally, implementing the virtual tour required working with 3D visualization tools to create an engaging digital experience. Through careful design iteration and close collaboration with stakeholders, we successfully delivered a solution that enhances cultural engagement at KFCC.

Outcome

The new digital platform for KFCC has significantly improved user engagement, making event discovery and participation more seamless. The introduction of interactive elements, such as virtual tours and community features, has strengthened the center’s connection with its audience, ensuring it remains a cornerstone of Saudi cultural life for years to come.
